body frame and weight

i have never fully understood the concept of body frame and how it affects weight but i definitely agree that it is a huge part of how people of the same height can have 5 to 20 pounds of difference between each other and still be considered healthy.

the reason i am asking because i have always been told my any doctor i've seen that i have a large body frame.  i am 5"2 and have weighed anywhere between 120 and 130 in my adult life.

i have always consulted my doctors about being overweight and they say that as long as i weigh no less than 115 or heavier than 135 then I am at a healthy weight for my height and body frame.

There are other people that I have spoken to, none of them doctors or in the medical field, that believe someone who is 5"2 should never weigh more than 115.  The last time I weighed 115 I was in 6th grade and about 2 years ago when I went on a no carb diet and was told me everyone around me that I looked emaciated.

I have always been a dancer and run at least every other day.  If not, I do yoga, kickboxing, calisthenics, etc, etc.  Friends and family definitely consider me a health freak and even go so far to say I may go too far with working out and eating healthy from time to time.

I feel healthy, am nowhere near "pudgy" or "fluffy".  I wear a size 0 in dress sizes or skirts and my measurements are 31-24-30 with a variation of going up or down 2 inches during PMS or when I'm slacking off with diet/exercise perhaps on a long vacation or holiday.

What do you think about body frame and weight?

b mi is useless...if u looked unhealthy at 115, you were unhealthy at 115. your frame is larger than most which means that your skeletal weight with no fat or muscle weighs more than most....so in order for you to have equal muscle or fat to cover your frame size as the average healthy person at 5'2 with a smaller frame, you would need to weigh more..r

also a muscular person will weigh more than a fat one

Hi, the concept of body frame is better understandable when we talk about body mass index. BMI is calculated by dividing the weight in kilograms by height in meter squares. The normal body mass index is between 20 to 24.9. For that, considering your height your body weight ideally should be between 50 to 60 kg. I hope this helps.
