calcification in shoulder and tennis elbow

by hashi, Jan 14, 2007 12:00AM
Does anyone know what exercises I can do with these problems. I would like to do some upper body workout with weights without causing more damage.

Hey there--have you had a PT look at that shoulder and elbow?  Before you go leaping into weight training, you might consider that.  I had HORRIBLE tennis elbow and I went to my PT and got something called ASTYM.  It was a really effective therapy for me--I really liked it because it included specific strengthening and stretching exercises, plus the treatment itself.  It took about 9 treatments, and now I don't have tennis elbow anymore.  Check out astym.com, see if there is a PT near you who knows about it.  Good luck!
