With my interpretationo your question, the difference would be the intensity. If you are training to become an athleteAthlete's foot Athlete's foot cream Athlete's foot, tinea pedis and train your heart you would be running at 75-85% of your max heart rate. When jogging, you are in the FAT BURNING zone of 60-75% of your max heart rate. It just depends upon the persons goal.
Jogging is going on a constant velocity like conserving your energy and going for a measured distance for a measured time.
