am glad u r... i had always seen ur posts.. u seem to be good at anything.. can i ask? how long has ur husband been working out? does he weigh heavy?i mean like those of dorian's or ronnie's? how bout u? did u ever compete at fitness or figure perhaps?
No competioning for me yet maybe one day, that takes A LOT of dedication. My husband weights about 230 and competion is ~ 190-200 and 5'8. He has working out since he was 13. He said he made a lot of mistakes back then. Was real shyMultiple system atrophy and never asked anyone anything. I ask all the time :). Thanks for the compements. but not good at everything just love all this stuff. I read alot!! and post too :)
well, i started at age 19 though i was afraid i wont grow tall, thats why i took weight lightly.. hehehe but ;ater i decided to shift into heavier ones thinking that i wont get huge without lifting heavy.. yes, ur husband may be half right with it.. he may had made some mistakes but he also made some improvements... its a trial and erro thing.. am not thin, i got good muscle qualities with long bellies but am too light for my height maybe.. good luck with ur competition if ever then.. :) am 5'9
For me I lift heavy, I feel I get a better work out. I get sore which makes me feel like I am reaching my goal. I want to build a machine :). I want to eat a bowl of icecream, once a week or what ever, and not worry.
I was a person who jumped into weight lifting/training, supplementing, without asking questions and without guidance. I ended up blowing up muscle wise (30lbs lean in 1 year), but I used to get horrible "nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity pinch" pains and soreness all the time. I never knew how to properly train. I ended up over training and wearing myself out. I was out of commission for two months (put on some body fat from lack of cardio, not enough change in dietingLosing weight Yo-yo dieting). I actually just got back into the workout mode this week; dieted well over the past three weeks and hit the gym hard upon return! I used to be very naive and hard headed about the advice that others gave me about training. I learned the hard way. I actually decided to take a fitness college course this semester and so far am learning so much; beneficial points I never knew.
To conclude, I now listen to the advice of others, especially trainers. I had a good week at the gym, I feel great! At 6'0" 230, 23%BF, I have some work to do before I hit the beach this summerSummers eve anti-itch.
i myself also just started back training. i used to weightlift though. it did pack on much muscle but cnat give you much definition u wanted. but the pumps are much stronger than just training smart. but either way, am choosingChoosing a primary care provider Choosing a qualified surgeon to be more wise on my training. i have three gym membership so that i wont hit my plateu and a lot of changes in my training program every week.
i now train smart and wisely.. sometimes people tend to do things over and over again.
