head lumps

by jim the tim, Mar 17, 2006 12:00AM
My father has had throat cancer in the past and has had surgery to have it removed in the past which does explane his lack of enthusisium to let me phone a doctor this time.
Recently for the past few months he has these lumps appearing on his head they are about the size of a marble under the skin
and are quite  hard ,he had told me  they were going away so i stopt going on about them but yesterday i offerd to give him a hair cut to which he refused it  was then i saw just above  his forehead a lump about half the size of a golf ball ,the lump is very dark in colour almost black it looks very sore but again he wont talk about it and wont let me near it ,
I do feel realy bad about this and i know why he doesnt want to go near a doctor or hospital,The last time he did that he lost half his tung and his jaw not to mention 18 hours on the operating  table and a long time to recover.
I know i am going to have to get a doctor out to him
but i aske the question to you people first because  it is easyer
I hop you can help with a speedy answer
Many thanks
            Jim
