Hello,
During exercise it is normal to find tachycardia or increased heart rate. The readings that you have noted seem like false readings because while using the treadmill, it is normal to find the heart rate increasing. If it happens again at rest then bradycardia (slow heart rate) needs to be ruled out for which you should get a holter monitor done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thank you, yes i was holding on to the sensors which are located in the handles of the treadmill
is your heart rate measured by the treadmill or do you wear your own monitor? If it's the built in monitor on the machines that's not accurate! buy a quality monitor.
Were you monitoring your heart rate with the sensors on the machines or a chest-strap device? If it was the hand holds on the gym equipment that you were using, I wouldn't be concerned. They are notoriously inaccurate, and so many factors can disrupt the signal. Even if you're using a chest-strap HRM, it would be more worrying to see an elevated HR; a lowered one generally means BETTER health. Here's a link to a similar question with an answer:
