help!!

I really need to start exercising but I feel stuck.  I keep putting it off for a little and end up never doing it.  I need some advice on how to push myself I guess.  And also what's the best time to exercise

So the hard thing about fitness, starting out or restarting, is acknowledging where you are vs. where you wanna be or even where you where beforehand.

What are your goal(s)?
Is your focus on a clothing size? A weight? A body fat percentage? Overall composition?

Are they reasonable with the resources at your disposal?
Training equipment, gyms, healthy food options, friends, quality food and supplements...

What changes are you willing to make not as a fad, or diet, but forever?
Not saying you need to never eat cake or enjoy a drink but start recognizing it means a trade of more work the next day or days.

I have been a runner a heavy lifter a crossfit addict...  From 340lbs to 187lbs and everything in between. But, above all else two things helped me.

The knowledge of what I'm eating has always made the difference in working out and feeling motivated to get it every time.
And,
Small bites of work when getting rolling. Like:

I know 50 burpees at one time is too much... but 15 in the morning 15 at lunch and 20 when I get home is way easier to swallow. Then I start shifting my numbers  until I'm doing more and more at one time.

Or,

50 stairs per minute for 15 minutes this week... 51 per minute next week... and so on until it's just normal to always push yourself to a better top end.

Don't be afraid to try different fitness facets, running , HIIT, Tabata training, rowing, biking, boxing, Olympic weights, traditional bodybuilding, circuit training.

It's all about having that positive mind set. Set your alarm in the morning and when the alarm goes off, tell yourself today is the start of a new journey for myself then go to the gym. You have to have that positive energy and push yourself to go without making up excuses. Once you go that first day you'll feel so much better about yourself and it'll give you that energy to want to keep going. It's just getting there the first day that is difficult but don't give up. Motivate yourself that's the best way!

No problem about your doubts about Clinton, I just didn't see how you could see the US surviving a Trump presidency.  The only honest and capable Republicans in the race can't get any traction, which leaves the really really dangerous and possibly fascist Trump and Cruz.  Scary times, stupid times.

I won't vote for Clinton! And I don't think trump will get the nomination, but you never know! What can I tell you?

Trump better than Clinton?  He's not better than a dead person.  He'd be like voting for a petty dictator, a narcissist who only cares about himself and who lies with every statement he makes.  Can't believe anyone would consider voting for the guy -- he's just playing an ego game and his ego is not a pretty one.  It would be like having Nixon again -- a narcissistic psycho who has no ability to see right from wrong, only in this case at least Nixon was smart and knew about the things he had to know about.  With Trump, you just get the psycho without the smarts.  Are you really serious of just fooling with me.

I'm going to disagree on that a bit.  People always are saying mornings are the best time to exercise, but actually, we're stiffest when we first get up.  In the afternoon we've had time to loosen up, and exercise can clear the cobwebs that formed during the day.  This doesn't always fit a lifestyle, and everyone should do what feels best when it feels best, but there it is.

I hate to agree with Pax. But you have to make up your mind to do it!!
Pax. Used to play pickup sports and I used to pick up girls! lol. If you can
Find someone to workout with it will help. I exercise every day and after a 1 1/2 - 2 hour workout I'm exhausted but feel good. Now make up your mind and do it and see how you will start feeling and looking better.
Before doing anything get the OK from your Dr.

It helps if you find something you actually enjoy doing -- a lot of people do forms of exercise that aren't fun.  If you can find something you like to play, that can make it easier.  And maybe you're the type who needs companionship, so getting a workout partner can help as well.  But really, it's up to you and how badly you want to do it.  I grew up playing pickup sports, it's what we did, so it's harder for me when I can't exercise.  For you, it will have to just come from doing it as it's probably not something you really look forward to.  That's why I recommend finding something to start with that's fun and you enjoy doing.
