light exercise/strengthening

Had to stop running and going to the gym as I've hurt my lower back/pelvic region, (feels like muscular ache for nearly 2weeks now) anyway whilst resting I'm looking for light exercise or something to strengthen my back to cope with running again... Any advice would be great as my diet is waneing without exercising and I'm missing it.
