Hi Staybooshy.  There is a great quote I read somewhere to get you started:

Bought is eaten.  If you buy a product and bring it into your home, you will eventually eat it.  Stick with good protein sources like fish and chicken.  Now a days you can find some really great already prepared chicken chunks in virtually every store.  Add that to some mixed greens, especially spinach, and just a tad of dressing and you have a perfect and quick meal!

Make your mantra:  Protein, protein, protein and then some fruits and vegetables.  Stick to those mostly and you will do well.  Remember that sauces and mayo etc. are high in calories.

Start your exercise regime slowly since you are a confessed lazy person.  Park farther away from the front of a store and walk more to get into the store.  Take a walk around your neighborhood every night.  Soon your energy level will change and you will find yourself wanting to do more.  Don't consider exercise only going to a gym.  Walking, swimming, bicycle riding.  All of these are a form of exercise.  Get into a game with the neighborhood "kids".  Do whatever is moving that is fun.

Let me know how it is going.  I am a personal trainer.

hi!

yeah most of of the thing there did help me alot, i dont have a car so i normally take the bus going to campus and i walk around the campus. i dont know if my being a vegetarian adds to the weight problem, i suppose, in fact i'm almost certain that the fact i'm a vegetarian means i tend to stick to carbs rather than protein... and micro food. i have actually started cooking now, but i think i still need to get more protein foods. know anything thats suitable for vegetarians? fruits and vegetables, no problem. still trying to motivate myself for exercise though ... can i have an email adress? youre such great help, andi would like to keep in contact :D thanks! xxx

Depending how strict of a vegetarian you are, eggs and cheese are great proteins - just don't go overboard on the cheese.  You could also have a protein shake in place of breakfast.
