sciatica and pinching pains

by Suteki, Apr 22, 2007 12:00AM
Hello.  I've been dealing with my sciatic nerve problem for about 4 months.  How it happened was that I compressed between right leg and pelvic bone when I tried to plow snow under my car. I've tried PT, chiropractor, acupuncture. Now I am doing exercise in water:  walking and balanced swimming in warm swimming pool & massaging with pressure in jacuzzi, because I feel better in doing soft exercises (after reinjuring the area:  between right leg and pelvic bone by doing hard pedaling).  I also do some stretching for back/thighs/arms by using some equipments in gym.  I used to have pinching/ pricking pains on my right thigh areas only.  But now I have the pains on my right calf and upper body:  arms, neck, shoulder.  I wonder what is going on.  I thought Sciatic nerve pains are around legs.  I also have some pinching on left side too, sometime.  My chiropractor said it could be fluid problem, but not sure why it is pinching all over.  Do you have any ideas?  Do you think i should do more exercises using equipment to stretch my muscles (some say I don't do enough exercises)?  To let you know my Atlas was not straight for a while so I have been adjusting this with chiropractor.  Now it is pretty straight.  I also had some back problem before, but it has recovered much better.  But the pinching all over my body might be related to my old issues, Atlas subluxation and back problem.  Anyway,  if you could advise me why it is pinching and how to take care of this, I'd appreciate it.  Thank you.

See a neurologist and ditch the chiropractor. Jeez, the worst thing you can do with neuro pain is see a chiropractor. Those guys are like snake oil salesmen.  Especially for neck pain.

Go see a neurologist if you are having problems. Asking a bunch of internet yahoos for advice about a neurological disorder is asking for trouble.
