unable to attain diagnosis. desperate--please help.

immediately after a bout of repeated overexercise in the searing heat last two summers ago, i started bizarre symptoms that don't fit together so neatly, and that still continue to this day, nearly 2 years later. they are as follows: heat intolerance, (excessive sweating, dizziness, heart palpatations), exercise intolerance (i swell up like a balloon even from walking and experience heart palpatations), fatigue, gastric reflux, bloating, weight gain, muscle weakness and loss. Have had nearly every test imaginable done re: hormones, viruses, electrolyte or vitamin imbalances--nothing. the only results i got back that were abnormal were my liver enzymes, which were all elevated for about a period of 3 months in the winter (don't drink, no meds) and an elevated level of CPK. this is unfortunately effecting the quality of my life in a very dramatic way, and i am desperate to find out what's going on. please help, if you can.
thank you,
kate

Not exercise-induced anaphylaxsis; I have been taking Singulair for the past 8 days and upon exercising, I am still having swelling in legs, arms, and stomach, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and extreme sensitivity to heat. I payed careful attention to my body after the exercise and noticed that after exercising, my stomach seemed to be filled with fluid and made a "swush" sound. I also felt nauseous for several hours after exercise.

Just saw a doctor who thinks it's exercise- induced anaphylaxsis. Does this sound plausible? I am supposed to take Singulair for a week and then try exercising. Doubtful that it well help, as it's been 3 days on 10mg Singular and still having the rxn to minor physical activities, like walking. Anyone know what the max dose of Singular is?

Wow, how speedy and helpful everyone is! What a relief! Re: magnesium, I've had levels checked, but it may be worth a second glance. In reference to everything else: gallbladder ruled out-- when I had an ultrasound of my liver, they ultrasounded (word?) that too. I am not now, nor was I then, on any medicines either.

I'd look for a better multi, something like I described.

Really, look into the magnesium.  The issue with your muscles and heart really lean to this possibility.

Thanks, all!
Had upper endoscopy done--everything fine. Present liver function tests reveal levels are back to normal. Had allergy testing--no allergies either. Take a multivitamin every day, eat well, drink enough, and take antacids already. Still no relief or answers.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

Go for present date liver function tests to rule out any liver pathology.

You should also get an endoscopy done and rule out gastric issues. Take antacids, H2 blockers such as famotidine or ranitidine for your gastric acidity. Eat proper planned diet and drink sufficient water.

Get all your vitals measures and go for an ecg and rule out any cardiac issues.

If all parameters normal then check if you are allergic to any substance, if so identify and quarantine yourself completely from allergens.

Take care!

I wouldn't be so trusting of the test results as far as the electrolytes and vitamins go.

I think you should work on your electrolytes (Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Calcium.)

Especially your magnesium.  Some of the safer and more effective forms of magnesium include: Taurate, Glycinate and Citrate (latter can be laxitative, so take with food).

Look online for a high dose, high nutrient, multi-mineral & multi-vitamin, supplement.  Something with many good testimonial reviews.

Blessings.
