Hello!
This can be due to some muscle sprain or due to stiff muscles. Rest your affected muscles for couple of days.
If you are not physically active and make your muscle contract and work for increased amount of time then you can have some inflammation and the above symptoms.
Take ibuprofen and apply ice packs to soothe the pain and inflammation.
If pain continues then get yourself examined by an orthopedician for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Take care!
It could be that you just injured or pulled a muscle, or it could be something more. Really it's a bit too soon to tell. If the pain is excruciating, I definitely recommend you see your doctor and explain your situation, but if the pain feels like a sore muscle, I suggest waiting it out a bit longer to see if it goes away on its own. Since it's been ove 24 hours, I would use hot packs or heating pads, 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Hot soaks or tub baths may help. If you have the luxury you may try massage. Advil or whatever suites you for mild pain and swelling can help. Most important is to avoid overuse of the extremity and affected side right now. If the pain worsens or persists for longer then a week, I would consult your doctor about the injury, as that could indicate something involving the nerves in that area. Let us know how it goes, this website is always here as a resource. I hope you feel better soon and send good luck and best wishes! Take care!
