I have 2 feet long savannah monitor he is very healthy always with great appetite, but something happened to his leg. I took him outside for sunlight, he was ok, when I brought him home he started limping his front leg, using olny three legs. After three days it got swollen but he doesn't show any pain, so I don't know it got dislocated or twisted. thanks for any advise or help. Appreciated
He should have an x-ray done. If there's a break and it's doing tissue damage (causing the swelling), it needs to be seen and stabilized. You don't want it to go beyond repair. I'm not sure how a lizard would show pain. I work with wildlife and I can examine a severe compound fracture and all the animal does is glare at me.
