I have a red-eared slider turtle, 5 years old, named Speedy. Today he got lost outside and I am concerned he may not survive if he is not found. I researched online and it says he is in danger due to overheating and starvation being he cannot swallow food without water b/c he does not have salivia. He is a water turtle lost in the florida heat. Truthfully, will my pet survive on his own and for how long if he cannot locate water?
:( the pet forum is my least favorite beacuse storys make me sad. Honestly he dosent have much time sliders need moister although they are half land. If he were to come across a dog or something also bad news.. I would say 3-4 days in the heat max I pray u find him or he finds water :*(
