20/30 sight in eye

by 409lover, Mar 19, 2007 12:00AM
My husband has to see a specialist. The eye doctor can't get my husband's left eye any clearer than 20/30. He says the pressure is good. I was thinking maybe glaucoma, but with good pressure I'm unsure.

unlikely to be glaucoma if the pressure is good.

glaucoma usually affects 'peripheral' vision before it affects central vision.  plenty of nearly-blind glaucoma patients out there who see 20/20 but have 'restricted fields' (no peripheral vision.

likely something else: cataract, corneal problem, retinal problem, etc etc.
