Blue spot in vision causing blind spot

by Tangie R, Mar 01, 2006 12:00AM
Starting yesterday around 11am I developed a bright blue spot just left of center in the vision of right eye. Within the bright blue dot are several smaller dark blue dots that fade in and out. Where the spot is occuring in my vision, I can not see whatever it is I may be looking at behind that dot. I do not know if I should bother my eye doctor about this, but I am worried. I need advice, and maybe some clues as to what may be causing it.

I also have Bright blue spots in my vision at certain times, but they are tiny like stars and they dont last long. It does not cause any pain. Does anyone have any idea what causes this?
