About 5 years ago, I woke up on Saturday morning and the vision was blurred in one eye. After about 2 hours, it cleared up, and my vision was fine. I had no pain during this episode. I went to the eye dr., who saw nothing wrong, and said that it must have just been dry eye. Now, last Saturday, the same thing happened. Woke up w/ blurred vision in left eye (not painful). (Eye didn't feel scratchy, etc as a dry eye might.)It went away on its own in a couple of hours. Then, a few days later, I took a short nap in the evening. When I woke up, my vision was clear, but I was seeing halos around lights in the left eye. I tried eye drops (Systane), but these did not seem to help. After a couple of hours, the halos went away.
My history: had LASIK about 8 yrs ago, no complications, halos, etc. I do have slightly dry eyes when I wake up in the morning sometimes. However, with these two incidences of blurred vision, my eye didn't really feel dry or scratchy. Any idea what is going on? I googled blurred vision and MS keeps coming up as a symptom, so I am freaking out. Thanks for your help.
