Child with Severe Myopia

I posted a question about my son's severe myopia last week.  He is a -15 in both eyes.  I have one other question.  My husband and I have been noticing that his pupils do not get very small when he is looking into light.  Our other childrens' eyes which are fairly normal seem to get much smaller. Does this go along with severe myopia or could this be another problem?

it is not likely to be related to his myopia.  but it is not a "problem", either.  having larger pupils than other children is like having larger ears than other children.  it usually doesnt mean anything.  as long as no eye doc has ever said anything about it to you, then he is likely fine.  all patients get pupil testing at every exam, and believe me they'd tell you if there was a problem.

so: larger pupil size than his siblings.  no big deal.
