I suspect that my 4 months old son may have congenital nystagmus. When he was 3 months old I noticed that he started to have short episodes of eye ocillation. Each episode lasts 1-2 seconds and goes away. For the past month it did not get better or worse. I am worried that he may have congenital nystagmus (CN). Although, as far as I know, CN is defined as constant eye occilation, while my son's eyes are fine and do not show any occilation 99% of the time. We live in Canada and have an appointment with a pediatric ophtholmologist in 5 months from now, which I personally think is ridiculous.
Please help me find a good specialist in congenital nystagmus in the US.
Thank you,
Julia
