Detached Retina possible w/other Eye that's non-detached?

09-20-06 Hi again.
I had surgery August 4, 2006 on my Left Eye's detached Retina.
All is healing Excellently.
I am wondering if my other Eye, will soon have the same problem, with the Retina detaching.
What are the %(percentages) of this happening to both Eye's retina? Thank you for reading my request..P.C.

i dont have any idea.  no one does.  i dont know if there are any studied, published "percentages" on this kind of thing.  there might be, but i havent read it.  the fact that you have already had a detachment in one eye puts you in the "high risk" category, which IMO means you need a dliated eye exam *at least* annually.  but as for predicting what your chances are of having a RD occur in the other eye...thats going to be really difficult.  "high risk", but certainly not necessarily "high probability".
