Diplopia after auto accident

by in4ni, May 23, 2005 12:00AM
About 35 days ago i got rearended by another vechicle and the truck i was a passenger in rolled and came to rest on my side.
I dont remember anything a bout the accident all i know is i came to in an ambulance after it was all said and done i was releasd from the hospital after a 30 hour visit. Now i have double vision except when i gaze upward. All CT scans and MRI's came back negative and my opthamologist seemed very perplexed about my condition he stated "i cannot narrow the problem down to a peticular muscle group"  I asked him if it was some type of pausey and he said no. Now i am very concerned about my condition and would like some deffinate answers. i would like to be examined by a neuro-opthamologist but cant seem to find one in my city (Jacksonville, Fl) How can i find a neuro- opthamologist in town. Also how long should i be patient before i start to think this condition is permanent?

Thank you
