Excessively dilated pupils

Hello,

Over the past few years (4-5) my pupils have become increasingly dilated. I have ruled out a number of conditions due to the bilateral nature of the dilation, however I am still very concerned, as in many instances there is virtually no iris visible despite ample lighting conditions. Despite people thinking i'm on drugs (not good in business meetings), I often find it hard to focus despite the fact that I have near perfect vision.

In a very well-lit room, where other people's pupils are completely constricted, my pupils remain dilated. The only exception to this is in natural lighting, where my pupils almost always react normally.

I have had my eyes examined very carefully by my hospital's neuro-opthomology team due to a previous losses of vision in my left eye (diagnosed as retinal migraine due to the fact that no cause was ever found) and everything came back normal ... they are just as stumped as I regarding both the vision loss and the dilation of the pupils.

Any ideas?

Thank-you in advance!

Cheers

nope.  bilateral pupil dilation is almost always benign.  it could be some medication you are taking...

but if you are on no medicine, then its just your eyes and your innervation.  try not to be too concerned b/c there is pretty much nothing that can be done.
