Eye Prescription

My daughter is 7 years old.  Half year ago, she had -1.5 for both eyes.  A week ago, we went to a different hospital, and tried to get a pair of glass for her.  After brief eye check, the doctor gave her -2.5 for one eye and -2.25 for the other. When wearing the glass, she should get 20/15.  Do you think it is too strong for my daughter?  What is the better for my daughter?  Get the weak prescription or strong one?  20/20 is enough? or she has to get 20/15?  I will be very appreciated for any response.

Hi rsun, as i think is usual in young people. I ve got my first glasses at the age of 8, with -1.5 too, and getting worse every year. I think is better try to use undercorrected lenses as far as possible, or save the old prescription glasses to close working, wearing the full prescription for the rest. The use of hard contacts could be right too. I began to wear my contacts at 11 years old, but the fact is that i was increasing my prescription about 1 diopters at year (during my teens sometimes more)going to my -8 and -8.75 now.
