by XAM, Jul 18, 2006 12:00AM
Hello,my first time here, here's my concern, last year I had a pituitary tumor removed, ever since both my eyes but mainly my left eye have white stringy globs in them my eyes are red and sore but the doctors say it is from the meds I"m taking.I currently am taking sinthroid 100mg,cortef 30mg,6mg of hydromorphone,1200mg of gabapentin. My pituitary isn't working, and I"m adrenal insufficent, the hydromorphone and gabapentin are for the pain I am still having.I am just concerned where it is my eye sight I can't get it back if it goes, anyway sorry for the long post. Thanks for any info.Brad

those meds and your medical problems could certainly be causing dryness.  try some over-the-counter lubricant eyedrops or artificial tears if you havent already.  not "visine".

about the loss of sight...pituitary tumors can & do cause vision loss...its anybody's guess as to when it will return or even if it will ever return at all.  nobody knows and every case is different.
