Eye in spasm mode and light flashes

Hi,

I recently posted a thread on accomdative spasm, I was told eye exercies and a few weeks and it would go. My problem is still the same and now I have more symptoms such as these flashes and pixalation of light that come and go now, It's really worrying. My appointment to see an eye doctor is in april(nearest they have), I fear leaveing it this long and my eyesight might be lost or worse.

Thanks for any help it's apreciated.

Ellis.

april is the nearest they have?  wow.  i've never even HEARD of an office booking solid 3 months out before, especially for a recurring/chronic problem.  to me thats more worrysome than your actual vision problem.

accommodative spasm is bothersome to the patient, but is not dangerous to the eye at all.  you cannot go blind or even lose any vision from accommodative spasm.  the flashes and pixelation ARE NOT likely associated with accommodative spasm.  those are IMO separate and distict problems.

you need an exam to check out the flashes, and IMO you need an exam well before APRIL.

For goodness sake, call back and tell them it's urgent!  That you don't just want an exam but are having a problem.  The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Make sure they understand that you are having these symptoms and are afraid for your vision.  If they can't/won't see you sooner, find someone else.
