Eye problems causing driving problems?

Eye problems causing driving problems?

I am having trouble driving.

I am 26 years old and in the last 6 months especially it seems like my vision has started to get worse. Trouble reading small print etc. I am farsighted.

I think it started at night time but now I have the symptoms during the day.

While I drive sometimes it almost feels like I am having some sort of asthma type attack of some form. Breathing tight, feel light headed and somwhat dizzy.

Could this all stem from recently noticable worsening eyesight?

Dear diggisaur
I'm not a physician but after looking at all of these websites, it sounds to me like you are suffering from a classic panic/anxiety attack.  You didn't mention much about your life...Are you going through any major life changes like getting married, buying a house,  kids on the way, or divorce?  Stress like this can manifest themselves differently like eye disorders, hearing, gastro-intenstinal etc.  I don't mean to make light of it but I started having p-attacks aften my daughter was born.  Then I had trouble with my hand after a year or so which felt numb all the time, then to my appendix area which I thought would explode, then my stomach, then my lower back , then I had ectopic heatbeats which I thought would be the end of me. Now it manifests itself in my eye. ( On top of that I only have one ;) )   Even though I know that it is stress in my life, "it" still moves onto something new every so often.  In fact my wife and I have a running bet as to where it will show up next.  Funny thing is that I am 42 and not one single gray hair. I would take a trip to the general physician and WRITE DOWN everything before you go.  Make your appointment late in the day so you can go over all the stuff with your doctor and he can answer you questions without feeling rushed. Good Luck Scott PS Older people like me will be more nearsighted at night (due to focussing on closer objects in dim light) -- opthamologists can prescribed night prescription glasses to take the edge off of fuzzy signs etc

If you are "breathing tight, feel light headed and somewhat dizzy" while driving, you MUST have you car checked for an exhaust leak into the passenger compartment. These are symptoms of carbon-monoxide poisoning, among other things...
