Eyedrops causing dry, itchy eyelids?

by LuvMK, Aug 12, 2006 12:00AM
I'm about a month out from my cataract surgeries and am about to finsih my eye drop routine.  For the last week or 10 days my eyelids have become very dry and itchy.  Would the eyedrops be irritating my eyelids?  Can I use some kind of eye cream to relieve the dryness?  Also, I will run out of my Acular drops about four days before I am supposed to stop them.  Should I call my doctor or am I close enough that I shouldn't worry about it?

i would not consider any of that serious.  no, IMO you probably dont need to call your doc about the acular.

dont know if your eyedrops caused the dry/itchy eyelids.  possible.  after you stop using them, see if the problem gets better.  almost any over-the-counter ointment designed for eyes would be safe to try.
