Floaters after inflammation in eye

Floaters after inflammation in eye

Hi, in May 2006, I noticed a spot in my right eye one morning, i went to doc and he said it is some kind of inflammation in eye, he gave me some steroids and 3 months later started Azaron ( 100 Mg ), which was reduced in later weeks.

Finally in Dec he said my eye is alright and the spot will be there forever since the cells are dead and cannot be regenerated. Problem is i started seeing flickering spots in both eyes ( at the same place ), which he is not able to explain. Also from last one month there are irritating floaters appearing in left eye. I had an dilated exam 3 weeks back and docter said they are nothing to worry about. But i am afraid since flickering spots are also there and floaters are visible all the time ( except in night, may be i don't notice them ).

when should I see appointment again ? is this a big problem to worry about ? is it true that big spot in my right eye will remain there forever ?
Plz help

the spot that you see in your own eye that you were on steroids for and the other symptoms you describe are unrelated.

since i dont know what the sopt is, i cant say whether it will be permanent or not.  possibly a pinguecula...which would be permanent except for surgical excision...

as for the other symptoms...if you just had a dilated eye exam and complained of those exact symptoms and nothing was found, then no, you likely dont need *another* exam.
