Peculiar Vision Problem

Peculiar Vision Problem

I've been having a peculiar symptom for as long as i remember, it happens occasionally. Recently I was at a job interview in a white room. The interview lasted about 25 minutes, about 10 minutes into the interview process, my vision began to change. During this time the person i was talking too became smaller and smaller. I felt like she was going to disappear in front of me. The room was also shrinking.
I wasnt nervous at all during this process nor stressed. I don't take any medication or wear glasses. I have noticed a pattern that when i have a face to face conversation with someone long enough this happens occasionally.

I was wondering what this could be?

Thank you,
CubLou

not an eye problem.  likely a benign perception problem.  possibly the 'troxler effect':

Hey Im not a doctor but i have an odd vision problem myself and have been doing alot of research online..anyway... I couldnt help but respond to ur post because I remember vividly reading about something similar to what u are describing.I read about called an "Alice in Wonderland" migrane (migraine). You can google it if you want and their are various sites on migranes (migraines) on the web which talk about it. Alot of the people say they have similar symptoms and it seems as though their world takes on an "Alice in Wonderland" feel where where things are dispoportionate and size distorted. One lady said she expereinced this for a couple weeks after the death of her brother. If it comes and goes like u describe it and is triggered by similar events ( being interviewed) which subconciously is very nerve wrecking and stressful even if u feel fine... it is most likely a benign nuerological event which a migrane (migraine) is. Again, not a doctor...but I would bet that is likely what u are experiencing in my opinion.

hello.
ok...ive been sitting here reading a ton of comments and questions on here regarding problems with vision, the eye muscles, etc..and heres my question.
my husband is a professional race car driver..he has been having problems with his vision on and off -where the muscles are weak, one eye sees double vision & split level vision and they twitch & get horribly bloodshot as well as dry and irritated. he has been to several doctors and specialists and no one seems to be able to give him any idea or answers as to what is causing this problem or how to help it. i am not a doctor but i done alot of extensive research regarding the eyes, the cardiovascular system and neuorsystem etc and how they are tied into one another and im having a hard time as well. does anyone out there have any ideas or answers or is anyone else experiencing these problems too? i know that the insane G forces (300+mph & short abrupt stops) that he experiences in racing could have alot to do with the weakness & strain in the muscles...also, he was given a prescription in glasses to help - with prism in them, but they dont do anything but annoy him and make the other eye irritated. he said that if he covers one eye -not up close on it, but about an inch away it seems to make it go away or better for the time being..... grrrrrr! both this and the glasses are just band-aids and not actually doing anything to fix the problem!
also, we think that the G forces could be a problem because we have noticed that alot of the other drivers seem to have problems with their eyes as welllll...
HELP please. thank you.
