Post Surgical Problems

Hello,

My fiance had surgery for a detached retina  which involved the  macula 9 weeks ago. A scleral buckle was put in place. His recovery has not been without incident (the detachement was  a complication of cataract surgery). He is currently experiencing severe pain, whites of his eye are all red, tearing/watery. He has   gone back to the doctor twice this week and the doc. says  his eye is fine. Do not know what to do. Seek another opinion? Wait it out? He is back on Percocets for the pain. Could it be a problem with the buckle?

Any comments would be appreciated greatly

Thanks
Ruth
