Pupil dilation

Pupil dilation

A couple of days ago I experienced extremely blurred vision. Although I wear glasses for nearsightedness, seeing upclose is usually fine.  I am a 58 year old very active woman in good health. My boyfriend makes surfboards in his spare time. I usually help him out. I walked into his surfboard room He said he had just sanded some plywood and some excess epoxy resin off a board. I have been known to have allergic reactions to the resin in plywood but that was because I was putting a bathroom floor in my home and spent many, many hours in this confined space. When I walked out of his surfboard room (15 minutes later) my vision was extremely blurred.  He looked at my eyes and found one eye dilated and other one not! I used some eyewash and nothing happened. Of course I was worried! Hours later I went to bed and when I awoke my pupils were fine! Any thoughts on why this happened? Do I need to wear goggles when I walk into his surfboard room? Could it have been the plywood dust or the epoxy resin? (He usually uses polyester resin; not epoxy) This has NEVER happened to me before.

yes, it could be chemical exposure.  in fact, that is probably the most likely scenario.  dont know if it was the epoxy or not...
