Question about pupil dilation? can it make things worse for your eyes?

by aswerty911, Jul 09, 2005 12:00AM
a little more than a month ago i went to a "Pearle Vision" for some contacts, had my eyes dilated, and was told i should check a retinal specialist to make sure everything as ok.

At the time i wansn't concerned, everything had felt and looked fine, but a few days after that dilation i began seeing a floater in one my eyes.  Weeks later I had my eyes dilated again by the retinal specialist, said things were ok and to come back in 6 months, and some time after that I can now see some in my other eye, especially when i'm looking up at the sky on a nice day.

The floater in my left eye i can see maybe 24/7, it's the same shape too, but maybe i see it less because i notice or pay less attention to it.  But it does get annoying when i'm outside trying to enjoy the day.  Could it just be my eyes being too dry?

and could pupil dilation have an effect?? i didnt even see floaters on a regular basis until after i got my pupil dilated back in june.

THanks for any help.
