Retinal detach and CPAP machine

Retinal detach and CPAP machine

I had retinal detachment on my left eye about 4 months ago (probably due to my extreme nearsighted - about -19.0  both eyes). I also have sleep apenea so I was using cpap machine about 2 years ago. I stoped using the machine after the eye surgery. Now I'd like to use it again but concern about all the air pressure from the machine through my nose during sleep. Will it harm my eye any way? Will it promote a detachment?

that is a great question and one i dont know the answer to.  i guess ask the retinal specialist!  i dont see how air pressure in your sinuses would or could affect your retina in any way, but that is just a guess, as i have never heard or read anything about that.
