Retinitus Pigmentosa

Retinitus Pigmentosa

1) Some websites offer Vitamin A as a treatment to slow down the effects of peripheral field loss. Can you take too much Vitamin A--can it be toxic? Also what are some symptoms if you are taking too much.
2) Besides Ushers syndrome, what other health concerns are related to RP?

For RP vitamin A palmitate is recommended to some patients.  There are many different types of RP.  Some are associated with syndromes like you mentioned and others are inherited.  I'm not sure the dosing on the Vitamin A palmitate.  (note this is different than straight Vitamin A)
