Strange flashing lights and blind spot

by shaggy29, Apr 09, 2007 12:00AM
Hi I know you can't diagnose me as this is for educational purposes only but can you tell me what this might have been.  I woke up one day and I basically has this blind spot in the middle of my vision...not a dark spot, it was like a distinct colorful pattern I could see when I closed my eyes and when I opened my eyes it obscured the center of my vision but then over the next couple of hours it slowly drifted off to the right and became more spread out like a snake all the while obscuring my vision off the the right of center...then it just basically went away.   I am 30 years old.  Thanks.

yeah, sounds like an ocular migraine to me...  or migraine aura.  even if you didnt have a headache.

if vision returned later to normal, then highly likely to be ocular migraine
