Vitrectomy equipment

by Pain in the eye, Feb 11, 2006 12:00AM
Any suggestions for making my husband comfortable while he must remain face-down for a week will be most appreciated.  It is surprising that none of the rental companies I have called in San Diego have the vitrectomy equipment that I have seen in the brochure.  What is a person to do???  Last resort is ordering and having shipped via UPS at great expense.

does he actually have to be face down at all times, or just look down at all times?

if he just has to look down, tell him to wear a baseball cap.  i put the brim down low, to remind me not to look up at all.

also, he can put the tv on the floor and then use mirrors to be able to see it without looking up.
