blurred eye

I excersice alot and always have done.

I have never suffered from headaches or any eye problems. I have had my eyes tested and results were very good and do not require to wear glasses.

Currently when I excercice hard my right eye sometimes becomes blurred and I feel a little dizzy. It also feels like there is a lump behind or on the back of my eye.

Note that if I stop for a couple of mins I feel fine once again.

Your assistance would be greatly appriciated.

Regards

Graham

you need an eye exam.  there are 2 scenarios i can think of off the top of my head, both of them need further investigation.

one is called UTHOFF's sign.  its blurry vision with heat...that would be a possible diagnosis of MS.

the other would be a form of glaucoma called "plateau iris".

you need an eye exam with careful pupil testing, color vision testing and a visual field.  you also probably need a neuro evaluation.

hopefully i'm wrong and you're fine, but blurry vision ONLY when you get hot or exercise...i consider that certainly worth investigating.

Thank you for your reply.

The problem I have is I am working in a very remote part of the world and will get it checked out on my return to the UK.

I have been told that I may have a lump behind my eye (apparently common ?) and may need to have it removed. Make any sense?

a lump "behind your eye"?

...no i would NOT consider that common.  on yor face or your eyelids, maybe.  but not "behind" your eye.

Could you have misheard? Could it be a mole behind your eye? I have one of those, and I gather that they're not really so uncommon. My eye doctor just looks at it whenever I go in for a regular checkup, and it's never changed, so we don't worry about it.

maybe by "lump behind the eye" they were talking about a hemangioma or something like that...
