difference between presciption and actual contact lens

is there a problem if my contact lenses are slightly different from my prescription?

here is my presciption

Left eye:
power -3.75
bc 8.6
axis 14.4
-1.75 cyl/ x 180

right eye
power -4.75
everything else is same as left eye

my question is this,

they are giving me 14.5 for the axis is this a problem?

14.4 or 14.5 is not the axis.  thats the diameter of the lens in mm.  14.4 mm is a common size, so is 14.5 mm.

no, i would not consider the difference between a 14.4 diameter lens and a 14.5 diameter lens to be clinically significant.

the power would be considered your prescription in your contact lenses. BC is the base curvature and the axis has to do with the fit of your contact lens, i hope that clears up some things :O)
