dry eye concerns

I work in a steel mill and apox. 2 years ago i noticed that my vision was becomeing blured, i went to a vision Dr and he said i had chronic dry eye and rxed restasis and told me to use Thera Tears every hour,fast forward to present 3.27.06 my vision is getting worst and the Dr says there is notthing that can be done besides the meds i have been taking...Am I going to eventually lose my sight and is there notthing that can help ???On 3.23.06 My DR only said that my eyes were totally dry and to continue rx & drops and that it will get worst but will not elaborate and told me to check back with him in a year.Im really getting worried as it is becoming more diffcult to drive at night without being blinded by oncoming headlights and everything is now getting extremely blurry and the sun hurts my eyes and after waking up within 2 hours my eyes hurt,,Blinking still helps a bit,I have no infection .Thank you for ANY input....

is this an eye doctor you are going to?

it is possible that "dry eye" is causing your blurry vision, but IMO that would be a rather rare cause for the kind of vision you are describing.  you probably need a second opinion.  get another exam from a different eye doctor.
