i have a blind right eye and it wanders out(divergent squint) i am considering doing an eye muscle surgery but my opthalmologist says that my eyes will only look aligned for a few months as the eye has no vision. is this true? thank you.
Hiya, I was wondering how exactly are you blind in the one eye? I, myself, am also blind in one eye due to a detatched retna that I was born with. It also wanders, but inward. I don't have any answers, but I am curious.
Hmm... well what I gather from the research I've been doing on the surgery, it seems as though it could work despite the fact that there's no vision. It's usually done with the goal of perfectPerfect choice vision in mind but since there's no vision I don't see a problem. I'll post a few sights that I've been looking. Here's one for now: http://www.strabismusBefore and after strabismus repair Eye muscle repair Strabismus.org/surgery_crossed_eyes.html#agematter

It's incredibly hard to find a site dealing with the surgery in an already permanently blind eye. If it doesn't help, and even if it does, I deffinately suggest going for second opinions.
