one pupil dialated, one not... blurred vision as well

2 days ago, I was experiencing blurred vision in my right eye).  Upon looking in the mirror, I realized that that eye was dialated and the other eye was not.  This problem persisted for several hours and went away.  In the meantime I have also experienced some dizziness in the past couple of weeks - on and off.

Also, I would note that I did have surgery to my breast area which required general anesthesia 2 days before the eye symptoms I've described.  Do you think this problem could be related to the surgery or is it something I should have checked out?  It's never happened before or since the one incident I described, but the dizziness and some mental fogginess is becoming pretty regular.

Any ideas of what this is all about?

pupil size difference in a young woman is very common.  if it went back to normal, and you did not experience pain or redness of the eye, or nausea or light sensitivity or any other symptom other than the pupil size and the blur, then you are likely fine.

many things can cause pupil size differences.  all of the bad ones are permanent (tumors, aneurysm, trauma, etc).

the most likely scenario IMO is irritation of the nerves that control the muscles in the iris.  again, if it resolved and your pupil is back to normal size and back to normal vision, do not worry.  yes, it is possible that the anesthesia contributed to the event.

this could also be MIGRAINES.  i wouldnt consider this emergent, but you might want to set up an appt to talk with your doctor about the dizziness.
