scar tissue under the retina

Hi,
I went to the the eye surgeon Wednesday and he said that there is scar tissue under my retina that is pushing my retina off of the eye. Surgery is scheduled for Monday to remove the scar tissue. I had a retinal detachment last fall and it took three months for my eye to get to 20 /40 with glasses. There was a lot for swelling in the eye. I heard that the surgeon could not find the retinal tear and and wondering if that is what is causing the scar tissue. What is the prognosis for vision recovery after removing the scar tissue?

same as most retinal surgeries.  difficult to predict.  but if it really is "pushing your retina off", then you dont have much choice...the prognosis for NOT having surgery is likely permanent vision loss.
