sever myopia

by saemom, Aug 28, 2005 12:00AM
My son has severe myopia (-21) and has worn corrective lenses - he has struggled but gotten by. He is now noticing his vision is near critical, difficult to see signs, computer screen at work, etc. He is only 24 years old and very anxious about his future. About 2 years ago, was told he had developed neovascularization around his macula.
He is desparate for a solution - says he will try "anything". Do you have any treatment than can help him? Any treatment that is may be coming in near future?
Thank you for any help,
Alyson
