treatment for nevus ota

by gordonbrown, Mar 04, 2007 12:00AM
My 5 year old daughter has nevus ota affecting her right eye only. It appears as dark brown discoloration under the iris and in both corners of her eye.  When she rolls her eye or looks out the side, it is noticeable.  It has been increasing and darkening over time and I am worried that eventually it will encompass the whole sclera.  Can anything be done to whiten the sclera again.  I've been told that lasers will scar the sclera, but how about drops such as those used to lighten skin discoloration?
