vision symptoms

Hello.  I have recently been experiencing strange symptoms in my eyes.  About a month ago I started noticing purple spots in my field of vision.  It is like little dots are there, off and on, all day.  Sort of like flashes.  I have seen a Optometrist and he says that he sees no reason for me to see this.  Also, twice in the last week this same purple color has, for a split second, come across the bottom of my vision, right around where my glasses bottom rims are.  This did not last long, but it was weird to see that the color of my spots was going from a little dot to a much larger portion of my vision.  I do not have any sight problems, no color loss, no blurriness, but it is very nerve racking to see these colors.  Do you have any idea what this might be?  Thanks for your response.

you are probably experiencing entopic phenomena.  if you had an eye exam and nothing was found, then its not dangerous.
