? eye shingles

by obriens, Sep 25, 2008 04:08AM
I have had a red and swollen right eye for past 2 weeks. I attended my GP and then eye casualty where i was told that i had lots of small corneal abrasions and they were infected. I have been treated unsuccessfully with chloramphenicol drops and ointment and now i am on neomycin+ steroid drops and ointment. I find lights very painful to deal with especially driving at night and i feel that i have something stabbing into my eye the whole time. Could this be shingles

I suppose it could be but if you saw an Eye MD ophthalmologist he/she should have been able to diagnosis it.
