lattice degeneration with ? holes

lattice degeneration with ? holes

I am  a myopic with-2(LE) and -2.25(RE).I had floaters in both eyes since 7 yrs which have slightly increased in number lately.(no flashes). My retinal specialist has diagnosed lattice degeneration both eyes(inferior part in left eye & superior part of right eye) the  round lesions in the right eye has been marked in the chart as" holes with ?traction".Doc has advised T/t with Barrage Laser .I want to know whether -
1) laser t/t is necessary at this stage or not
2) does "hole with traction" means that  retinal detachment is imminent  in near or distant future?
3) what are the complications of laser t/t?(I have heard that retinal detachment occur much faster after laser t/t itself)
Please answer a.s.a.p as I have to take decision for or against laser in 2 days.
THanks

I think you should get a second opinion from a retina specialist.  Your prescription is relatively low to have lattice with holes.
