1 pupil dialated

I have had one pupil dilated for almost 2 days now. I am having vision problems in the related eye and feel unsteady because I cannot see properly. I did put some over the counter eye drops into the eye before this happened but that has been almost 48 hours ago now. I am planning to call my GP this morning and try to get an appointment. Could this happen because the eye drops were contaminated? I would have thought infection of the eye to be a more likely result of contaminated drops.
