My 10 year old son has migraine headaches. To rule out causes before he sees a pediatric neurologist I had his eyes checked in May. His vision was fine then. No problems. Now over the summer he started complaining that at a distance he sees everything going foggy. He can't see clear for the fog, but only at a distance. Just this morning he told me that now everything at a distance is trying to go black. When we asked him to describe it he said everything has a black tint...he couldn't really describe it to us very well. Said he didn't know how to describe it. I had already made another appointment for an exam, it's Thursday afternoon which I know is only 2 days away, but I'm worried about it. What could cause this drastic change in his vision so fast? Is it something serious, you think? Any info/thoughts would be appreciated.
