14 yr old with 90 year old eyes(corneal erosion)

by JARBS, Apr 03, 2007 12:00AM
My 14 year old daughter has something similar to O.C.P.-occular cicatrical pemphicoid( no tears are produced). She has had this for the past 6 years. The doctors at The Hospital for Sick Children have never had a case likes hers. They said this is common with elderly people, not children.Does anybody know of a doctor or clinic that would have the expertise to handle this rare case?I put the topic down as "general eye problems"but it is anything but.I thought the specialists at HSC would be able to help her but I am finding out that they too are puzzled. Her eyes are slowly deteriorating as time goes on.
